WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant a total of $69,021,708.91 in relief for Hurricanes Laura and Ida.
“Louisiana communities have been hit by disaster after disaster. Many families are still recovering from Ida after almost a year,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This is a massive step towards fully rebuilding our communities.”
Communities that will benefit include the City of Sulphur, the Calcasieu Parish School Board, the Lafourche Parish Hospital Service District #1, St. Tammany Parish, the City of Gretna, and the City of Harahan.
