La Plata, MD- October 28, 2024, at about 5:12am, emergency units responded to the 1100 block of Golden Eagle Pl for a report of a fire. The witness reported the deck and back of the house was on fire. La Plata Volunteer Fire Department contained the fire and it was determained the cause was from a grill on the deck. No injureies were reported. Red Cross was on scene.
