Budds Creek Motocross Accident: Teen Flown to Trauma Center After Being Thrown from Dirt Bike

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A 19-year-old male has been flown to a regional trauma center with serious injuries after being thrown from his dirt bike at Budds Creek Motocross Park.
The incident was reported on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at approximately 11:01 a.m. at the track located on Budds Creek Road in Mechanicsville.
According to dispatch the 19-year-old suffered a possible hip and femur fracture. Due to the severity of the traumatic injuries, a medevac was requested.
Maryland State Police Aviation Command’s Trooper 7 was dispatched to the scene. Fire and EMS personnel established a landing zone at Chaptico Park to facilitate the transport. The patient was reportedly in significant pain, requiring flight paramedics to administer medication prior to transport.
Trooper 7 has airlifted the patient to the Capital Regional Trauma Center for treatment.
