Fatal Shooting At Football Event In Prince George’s County Under Investigation
OXON HILL, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday at a football event in Oxon Hill. The victim is 33-year-old Christopher Mozee of District Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On June 15, 2024, at approximately 11:20 am, officers responded to Potomac High School on Boydell Avenue for the report of a shooting. The victim was located in the bleachers suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital. A second victim, a child, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives are actively working to arrest the suspect(s). Preliminarily, the shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument among spectators at the event.
