Mechanicsville 4-Wheeler Crash: One Airlifted After Being Ejected

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — One person has been flown to a trauma center with serious injuries after being ejected from a four-wheeler in Mechanicsville on Saturday night, August 16, 2025.
The incident was reported at approximately 9:08 p.m. in the 28300 block of Old Village Road, near the intersection of Bens Lane and Saint Marys Avenue.
Emergency crews responded to the scene for a report of an injured person following an ATV crash. Updates from the scene confirmed one person was injured after being ejected from the four-wheeler.
Due to the traumatic nature of the injuries, a medevac helicopter was requested to the scene. First responders established a landing zone at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 on Hills Club Road to facilitate the airlift.
The patient was subsequently flown to a regional trauma center for treatment. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
