MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A 21-year-old man was flown to an area trauma center Thursday evening, Sept. 4, 2025, after a motorcycle crash in the Country Lakes neighborhood of Mechanicsville.
The collision was reported about 6:40 p.m. on Yowaiski Mill Road near Anne Court. Crews quickly requested a medevac upon arrival, and SYSCOM cleared a weather check before approving a helicopter launch.
Firefighters set up a landing zone at County Lakes Park, where MedStar Helicopter 3 airlifted the patient to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment.
Authorities confirmed the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. No further information was immediately available on the cause of the collision.
