LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A multi-vehicle collision near the intersection of Point Lookout Road and St. Mary’s Hospital on April 28, 2025, left one person injured.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:53 p.m. Multiple patients were evaluated by EMS on-site, and one individual was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for further care.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office urged motorists to avoid Point Lookout Road in the area of the hospital for at least an hour as deputies managed traffic and cleared the scene. Some surrounding roads were temporarily closed.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
