No. 19 Maryland aims for a strong finish as they seek revenge against No. 12 Ohio State at Xfinity.

January 23rd….the week of this game was tough. Bri McDaniel suffered a season ending injury in the win against Minnesota. Shyanne Sellers suffered a knee injury in the Correta Scott King game against Texas. Then came No. 12 Ohio State and then No. 8 Maryland locked horns on the road…Cotie McMahon wagging her tongue out in celebration particularly in the third quarter. The Terps went on to lose that game. Sunday Maryland looks to exact some revenge. Check out how Maryland can pull an upset.
Nathan’s Keys to Victory!
There’s nothing like home.
Stats show that the Terps will play better on the road and finish on a high against Indiana Thursday night. The Terrapins would like to finish the regular season on a high with a win at Xfinity.
What Happened the Last Time Won’t Happen Again.
In the first matchup, Maryland began strongly, displaying impressive performance on offense and defense.. By the end of the first quarter, they had built a lead of ten points.. The Buckeyes decisively wore down the Terps with their strategy, concentrating on three key areas: 1) pace, 2) full-court pressure, and 3) physicality… With the absence of key players like Sellers and McDaniel, combined with the exhausting toll of several recent games, the team’s energy has been significantly depleted., Maryland did not have enough to mount a comeback..
Fast Forward
Since then, Maryland has taken a few on the chin, for example, losing to UCLA, Illinois, and Nebraska. Despite facing nine opponents, the Terps have won six of those games. Currently, they are on a five-game winning streak on the road.
Ohio State has been in the same boat after defeating the Terps. They went on a three-game win streak, then got demolished on the road by UCLA and USC. Ironically, their only loss since then is against Indiana. They are still locked in third place for the Big Ten, and they can host the first two rounds of the Big Ten Tournament. Maryland could play spoiler.
