Team Hyundai, Toyota Of Southern Maryland Hosting Grand Opening, Pre-Tariff Event May 10
LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Team Hyundai and Toyota of Southern Maryland are inviting the community to a Grand Opening and Pre-Tariff & Tax Event on Saturday, May 10, at their newly opened dealership facility in Lexington Park, Maryland. The celebration will feature exclusive vehicle savings, a food truck, giveaways, and a special appearance by T-Bone and Heather from Star 98.3, making it a family-friendly event with something for everyone.
The 26,000-square-foot Hyundai dealership, located on Route 235, officially opened last month and marks the third home for Team Hyundai since its founding in 2003. Visitors can take advantage of $1,000 extra toward trade-ins on eligible vehicles and 0% APR financing on select models, ahead of newly enacted tariffs and a Maryland sales tax increase from 6% to 6.5%.
Dealer Principal Peter D’Arista said the new space was built to meet the evolving needs of customers and the growing service demand.
“We built our new facility to handle the huge increase in service business from customers who bought from us, as well as new customers who moved into the area,” D’Arista said.
The modern facility includes a spacious service lounge, coffee bar, business center, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an enclosed new car delivery area. Team Hyundai remain locally owned and deeply rooted in the community, donating over $50,000 annually to local nonprofits and sponsoring more than 25 charitable organizations each year.
Toyota of Southern Maryland is also joining the celebration with its own pre-tariff and pre-sales tax increase event, giving customers the chance to lock in deals before prices go up. The dealership is offering real, no-obligation trade-in appraisals and same-day payment on all makes and models.
